City's young squad slumped to a 4-0 home defeat, but whist the result would infer that a rout had taken place the truth was the City were never out of this match, nor down either.
After a faily even opening 10 minutes in which City took the game to their opponents, the game settled down. Seb Melendez catching the eye with some surging runs forward from the left back berth.
Two quick goals from the visitors was hardly what the home side deserved and they fought gamely to get back in the match and ended the half on the front foot.
The 2nd half started in much the same fashion as the first but with City even more attack minded and their endeavors cetrainly merited a goal ....or two, but chance after chance went begging. True to script, with so much attacking City were left wanting at the back and against the run of play conceeded another brace to bring the final score a very flattering 4-0 to the visitors from Buckinghamshire.
Credit to the 35 or so spectators who braved the chilly November day and who never stopped encouraging their team.
