Welwyn GC Reserves bounced back after a poor 0-4 defeat to Wodson Park Res at the weekend, with a impressive 4-1 win against Harpenden Town's second string at Herns Lane on Monday evening.
The visitors, with a new look side, took an early lead with a calm finish past WGC Res keeper and skipper Freddie Hester, although the home defence were left scratching their heads and desperately looking at the linesman for an offside flag, that never came.
But from that point, Harpenden Res barely got a look-in as Callum Scott's Intelligent lobbed finish brought WGC Res back to 1-1 by half time.
WGC Res reacted straight away on the restart, with an outstanding left footed strike from co-manager Sav Caliskan for his fourth goal of the season.
Jake Hoy then netted with his first goal of the campaign when he converted a Dan Harper corner.
Nathan Studholme rolled a pass into the path of Nathan Isherwood to make it 4-1 before the finish.
Co-manager Russ Giblin commented: "After an under par performance on Saturday, it was great to get a reaction from the lads. We are looking stronger each week and its a shame our season has to finish this week. Winning five of our last nine games is a really good achievement".
